Bedford Public Schools would like to express our appreciation for the Bedford Township Lions Club. Over the last week and a half, Lions Club members have been getting up early to travel to each building in our district to treat all of the staff members in them with coffee and fresh baked donuts from Erie Bakery. They wanted all of the staff involved in education to know that their exceptional efforts as they have dealt with all of the COVID challenges have been noticed and appreciated by members of the community.
Everyone appreciated the morning greetings, hot coffee and the yummy treats to start their day. They were touched by the thoughtfulness of the Lions and their willingness to go out of their way to share a few kind words and express their gratitude.
This is one of many ways that the Lions seek to make an impact on their community. We certainly appreciate the support this group offers the school community and its families with scholarships, beds for children, assistance with eyeglasses and exams and more. The Lions are able to support these, and other charitable initiatives, with the proceeds from sales at the Lions Den located at 9100 Lewis Avenue in Temperance. Your patronage and support with donations makes a big difference in our community.
