DRIVER'S EDUCATION TRAINING & TESTING AVAILABLE
DRIVER'S EDUCATION FOR YOUTH
Offering Segment I and Segment II classes. Space is limited and classes fill quickly!
- Segment I minimum age is 14 years, 8 months
- Segment I must be complete before enrolling in Segment II
PRIVATE DRIVING INSTRUCTION
We also offer private driving instruction for teens who have completed Segment One and have received their Graduated Level One License to help further their driving lessons and/or testing preparation for their Level II license.
MICHIGAN ROAD SKILLS TEST FOR YOUTH & ADULTS FOR AUTO
We DO NOT offer walk-in Testing! An appointment & registration is needed!

How to know if you are ready to take the road test?
If you are under 18 years of age you must be able to answer "YES" to the following:
Segment 1 class is complete?
- Segment 2 class is complete?
- Have had your Level 1 license for at least 6 months?
What do I need to bring to confirm my road test date?
If the following is not received in the Community Education office by the deadline date you were given, your test will be canceled:
- Segment 2 card.
- Level 1 license issued for at least 6 months.
- Current PROOF OF INSURANCE for the vehicle you are driving.
- Current REGISTRATION for the vehicle you are driving.
- Payment of $75.00 (check, money order, or cash accepted)
- Parent or Legal Guardian if under the age of 18.
DRIVERS EDUCATION REFUND POLICY
Refunds or transfers will ONLY be issued if requested to the Community Education office at least 3 business days prior to the class start date. Refunds requested after the 3 days, but before the 1st day of class will be $155.00. NO REFUNDS will be issued after the class has begun!
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RE-REGISTER AND RE-PAY FOR A NEW CLASS IF PROPER NOTICE IS NOT GIVEN, YOU DO NOT SHOW, OR DO NOT COMPLETE YOUR REGISTERED SESSION.
LEVEL 2 DRIVING RESTRICTIONS
Restrictions regarding Graduated Driver's License (GDL) Level 2 Drivers:
- Between the hours of 10:00 pm & 5:00 am, GDL level 2 teens must drive with a parent, legal guardian, or licensed adult over the age of 21, unless driving to or from employment.
- With the exception of immediate family members, GDL level 2 teens must not have more than one passenger under the age of 21 unless traveling to or from school or a school sanctioned event.
