ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL TRAFFIC FLOW

Mega Loop map thumbnailMega-Loop Map

You will enter the north drive on the side of the junior high closest to the Bedford Public Library. You will travel behind the junior high and then continue towards the stadium, you will follow the new drive that circles around the north side of the high school building, runs parallel with the bus depot parking lot, turns to run along the south side of the junior high before passing behind the junior high and finally exiting out onto Jackman Road on the same drive that you entered on. You can drop off students at both the high school and the junior high using the Mega-Loop. A gate located in front of the stadium will be closed during the arrival and dismissal times that will prevent thru traffic from the junior high and high school. Please follow the direction of school personnel.

MEDICATION AUTHORIZATION FORM
Parents can drop off any medication that will be given at school in the health room. A Medication Authorization Form, signed by a physician, must accompany the medication. This includes many common over-the-counter medications, such as cough drops.

Bedford Public Schools uses Infinite Campus' ability to send out Emergency Notifications. You can manage your contact preferences within your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. (If you have not set up your Parent Portal Account yet, please check you email for an activation key code.)

You can choose how you want to receive our messages: email, phone calls, and now text messages. The default setting is email and phone options. If you wish to add text messages, you will have to add that as an option in your Parent Portal Settings. Please use this link for Instructions on How to Set Your Contact Preferences and to Receive Text Message Alerts

You can edit your phone numbers within the portal, but if you need to change your email, you will need to contact the school office.

NEW TO INFINITE CAMPUS?
Each parent who is listed as a student guardian in Infinite Campus will receive an email on Monday. This email will include their personal parent activation key (a long string of letters and numbers) that will connect the parent to all of the students in their household that attend BPS. A parent will use that special key to set up their Infinite Campus parent account.

New signs being installedNEW SIGNAGE AROUND THE DISTRICT

You may notice some new signs being installed around our district. These new signs are meant to reinforce to district visitors that our grounds and facilities are closed to the general public when school is in session. This is not a new policy (9150 - SCHOOL VISITORS), however, we are stepping up our enforcement of these rules to help ensure the safety of students and staff. Anyone that has school related business during published school hours, is welcome to enter through each building's main entrance and check in as a visitor.

This same School Visitor Policy also addresses animals on our school grounds: “Except as set forth in District policy, canines brought on the premises by law enforcement personnel for law enforcement purposes, or in the case of "service animals" required for use by a person with a disability, no other animals may be on school premises at any time.”
