Update from Superintendent Dr. Carl ShultzBPS UPDATES COVID PROTOCOLS AND GUIDANCE

MASK REQUIREMENTS VS. RECOMMENDATIONS
Dr. Shultz emailed updated COVID protocols to families on February 28, 2022.  They are based on current local, state, and national case data. The major changes within the protocols include the removal of the masking requirement on district buses and vehicles, the transitioned focus of close contact tracing from a district function to a county health department collaboration, and the retiring of the Test-to-Stay Program due to reduced case numbers and low participation. Students and staff wishing to take a COVID-19 antigen test may still do so through the health aid offices located inside individual buildings. Families/students requesting a test will be required to have a signed consent form before administration.
