The spring sports season has wrapped up and we are excited to share some results from the hard work put in by the athletes and coaches!
Bedford's Track & Field program had 6 athletes qualify for the Division 1 State Track Meet.
--Ethan L. was STATE CHAMPION in the pole vault with a jump of 15'9"!
--Micah S., (Regional Champion with a new school Record of 22'10.5") took 3rd in the long jump going 21'10.75" in the state meet!
--Both Ethan and Micah earned All State honors!
--Collin B. (Regional Champion) finished 14th in the state 400 meter race.
--Regional Champions in the 4 x 400 relay, Owen P., Caleb K., Micah S., and Collin B. took 16th place at the state meet.
--Maddie F. set 2 new school records at Regionals: 1600M: 5:00.94 and the 3200M: 10:47.55. She finished her running career at Bedford with a 13th place finish in the 3200M race at States with a time of 10:53.83.
Following their Regional Championship, the Girls Tennis Team competed in the State Finals this past weekend and finished in 11th place to cap off a great season!
Baseball advanced to the District Championship game before falling to rival Monroe.
The Boys Lacrosse team beat Riverview Gabriel Richard 13 to 12 before their season ended in the District semifinals.
Congratulations to our Bedford Softball Head Coach, Marla Gooding. She was named the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year!
And while Hockey is not a spring sport, this news just arrived:
The Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association (MHSHCA) has selected Bedford for the Class of 2022 Academic All-State Hockey Team. Congratulations Coach Kyle Kuhr and the Bedford Varsity Hockey Team!
