BCAN recognizes outstanding educators for their efforts in and out of the classroom in their Classroom Heroes program. We are so excited to share that Mrs. Jennifer Regalado was chosen as September’s Classroom Hero! Mrs. Regalado teaches in Bedford High School’s Science Department.
Mrs. Regalado was nominated because she “... has taken on the role of so much more than a teacher. Everyone who has had her can agree that she treats each and every student like her own child. Her classroom is a safe space for anyone....She is so down to earth and treats her students with the utmost respect...She starts every test with “pre-test meditation” to calm the nerves…. If she suspects anything is going wrong in your life, she never fails to make sure you’re okay....My friends and I have developed a mother- daughter relationship with her...She brings the joy back to learning.”
Mrs. Regalado received $300 for her classroom and BCAN made a surprise visit to Bedford to present her with her award. Use this link to see BCAN’s feature story on why she was chosen as a Classroom Hero:
