Testing Out Policy

Read the following then print out more information and the application.

With the passage of the Michigan Merit Curriculum, the State of Michigan altered students’ opportunity to test out of high school courses.  Students may attempt to test out of any subject offered at Bedford high School.  Some courses may require performance based assessment beyond paper and pencil.

Successfully completing any performance portion of the assessment, if required, and passing the final exam with a 77% or better, the student will receive a “P” on their transcript and will receive credit towards their graduation requirements.

Testing out applications will be available in the main office or on the counseling department's web page the first week of May.  There is a $10 application fee per exam.

COURSE CREDIT - Each class is worth ½ credit per term.
