Marching Band Weekly

Practice  

Practice this week will  be Wednesday and Thursday.
Next week we will practice Monday thru Thursday.
The drum major, officer, section leader, squad leader meeting is Friday morning 
at 7 AM.

Congratulations!!

Very impressive on Friday night! Pregame lines were the best this year and the halftime show is looking good! You gave our eighth graders a super experience.
Squad of the Week goes to the commendable Squad F 1-4. Hannah Skowronek, Blain Shinkle and Tony Krieger have done a great job this week!

What’s coming up?

Saturday, October 16th is UT Band day. We will meet at school at 10:15 AM, load up and travel to UT.  We have noon rehearsal with the mass band.  Following that, most of the bands participating will present their halftime shows for each other.  ( A tentative schedule will be forthcoming. Family and friends are welcome to attend this portion for free and should park in one of the outlying parking lots.  If they want to go to the game they will need to purchase a ticket. Following these performances, we will have dinner provided by the UT Athletic department, then change into full uniform.  At about 5:45 we will return to the stadium in preparation for the 7 PM game.  UT Marching Band will do the pregame.  We will be performing in the Mass Band for halftime.  We will leave the game at 10 PM, for a 10:45 return to Bedford High School.
Anyone that would like to donate healthy snacks  and drinks for parents to distribute during the day can start bringing those into school now.  They are welcome and much appreciated!
If you are taking the PSAT Saturday, bring a note to Mr. Koch and include which parent will be bringing you down.  You are responsible for your instrument and uniform, but you can get someone to care for them for you.

Other Items 
The Activity fee of $45 is overdue.  Please pay that immediately.  I now have a list of those who paid early, but cannot remember.

Now that the team is 7-0, we will be in play-offs on either Friday night, Oct 29, or sometime Saturday, Oct. 30th.  I expect that the band will participate.
