Welcome to our District

GREAT STUDENTS + GREAT STAFF + GREAT COMMUNITY = EXCELLENT SCHOOLS

Bedford Public Schools is a high achieving school district located in Monroe County, Michigan. Because of the dedicated efforts of our highly-qualified staff, the hard work of our students, and the support of our parents and community, Bedford Publics Schools’ performance continues to exceed the state averages in MEAP, MME and ACT scores and routinely leads our region in many areas.

We are very proud of our students' academic achievement and our community.

HAC Closing for Summer

HAC is now closed for preparation for the next school year

HAC will reopen as follows:

Elementary Schools:  August 22 after 4:00 pm (classroom assignment available)

  • Bedford High School:  August 23 after Registration Week

Schedules for Bedford Junior High Students are now available on HAC.

You may notice that the schedule no longer lists Lunch or Homeroom. We have changed our bell schedules (both at the high school and junior high) for this school year to more closely align with the Michigan Department of Education's rules that say only 15 minutes of homeroom time can count towards instructional time. This change also gives us one extra day's worth of time we can count to offset excessive snow days! We didn't want to extend the school day or add additional days to the school calendar to fulfill our requirements. Our solution was to combined the homeroom time with a class period.

So 4th hour is twice as long as it used to be. And it will be broken down into 4A, 4B, 4C, and 4D sections. (This replaces the old 4A/B and 5A/B sections) The entire 4th hour will be spent with the teacher you are assigned to for that hour with the exception of the chunk of time that teacher's class has been assigned for lunch. If that teacher has 4A lunch, for example, students will still report to that classroom and be dismissed from there to go to lunch. The remaining time will be devoted to some homeroom time and classroom instruction in that 4th hour subject.

How do the students find out whether they have 4A, B, C, or D lunch? Junior High students can find out at Bronco Round-up and Mr. Hurley will post it on his blog by Aug. 20th. High School students can find out once Registration Week is over.
