Summer Registration for Fall 2016
Don't Delay! Register Today!
First Day of School: Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016
The last day to register a NEW student to begin on the 1st day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 3 pm.
If you register your child from Wed., Aug. 31, - Fri., Sept. 2, 2016 they will begin on Wed., Sept. 7, 2016.
Registration for new students (up to grade 5) for any of our elementary schools: Douglas Road Elementary, Jackman Road Elementary and Monroe Road Elementary, are being accepted at the Office of Instruction and Student Services located at 1623 W. Sterns Road, Temperance, MI 48182. The office will be open from 7:30 am until 3:00 pm to register students. Please call 734-850-6028 for more information.
All elementary school offices are currently closed for the summer until Wednesday, August 24th.
After that date, new elementary student registrations will be accepted in the school offices.
New students in grades 6-8 can register at Bedford Junior High School, 8405 Jackman Rd
Temperance, MI 48182. Please call 734-850-6200 for more information.
Summer Hours for the office at Bedford Junior High School are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
New high school students (grades 9-12) can register at Bedford high School, 8285 Jackman Rd., Temperance, MI 48182. Please call 734-850-6100 for more information.
Summer Hours for the office at Bedford High School are 7:30 am - 2:00 pm until July 29th.
Beginning August 1st, office hours will be extended from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.
You will need to complete the registration packet. Registration packets are available in the school offices or the Administration Building's Office of Instructional and Student Services at 1623 W. Sterns Road. Click here to download the forms. They include a checklist page of all materials needed for complete registration.
The student's state certified birth certificate (photocopies are not accepted) and parent driver's license must be presented in person at the school office, or Office of Instruction and Student Services, along with the completed packet.

Students at Bedford Junior high School and Bedford High School will be informed of any specific supply requirements by their teachers on the first day of class. Students should be prepared with the basic supplies such as pens and pencils.
Open House TimesElementary students can bring their school supplies to their Open House in a grocery bag marked with their name. Secondary students can place their supplies in their lockers once they are assigned.

Calendar Set for 2016-2017 School Year
"Supplying Our Future" Backpacks for Kids"Supplying Our Future" Backpacks for Kids in Monroe County is a program that works to make sure every child, K-12, has the school supplies necessary to start school. An application is available here. Once completed, it can be turned at your school office (after Bedford's elementary school offices close for the summer, please drop off at the Office of Instruction and Student Services), the Office of Instruction and Student Services at 1623 W. Sterns Road, Temperance, MI, or The Salvation Army at 815 E. First St., Monroe, MI 48161 or scanned and emailed to: EMI_Monroe@usc.salvationarmy.org, or faxed to: 734-241-7181.
Deadline to apply is August 1, 2016.
Backpack pickup in Bedford is August 12th from 4-6 pm at the Francis Family YMCA, 2000 West Dean Road, Temperance, MI 48182. Swimming is also available at this time! Bring your swimsuits! Parents MUST swim with children.
YOU can help provide the supplies that will be needed to fill those backpacks that will be distributed to make sure every child is prepared to learn once school starts. The Back Pack Coalition expects to pass out 1,200 back packs to Monroe County kids. Any school supplies donations will be accepted, including back packs, pencils, paper, rulers, scissors, crayons...whatever you might be picking up for your own children!
HELP "STUFF THE BUS!" WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES
A bus will be parked in front of the Kroger store at Sterns & Secor in Lambertville on July 30th from 8 am - 4 pm. (The Kroger in Monroe is also doing the same thing, same day and time.)
NashIcon 98.3 Radio Monroe is a co-sponsor of the drives. Bedford and Monroe Public Schools are providing the school buses.

Spaghetti Dinner Benefit for Jonathan Scout.

Lambertville United Methodist Church, 8165 Douglas Road, Lambertville, MI 48144
Jonathan will be a senior at Bedford High School this year, is a part of the Kicking Mules football team and just earned his Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America. In March 2016, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Since then he has had several surgical procedures, radiation, and chemotherapy treatments at the U of M Motts Childrens Hospital. This spaghetti dinner will help the family cover the resulting medical expenses associated with his treatments.
Dinner includes: spaghettie, salad, dinner roll, dessert, and a drink.
Suggested donation is $8.00.
Raffle and Bake Sale will also raise funds to assist with medical expenses.
A weekend of fun and remembrance to celebrate the lives of those we lost too soon.
