Weather cancellation policy for Adult Education programs.

When school is cancelled due to weather, Driver's Educatoin classes are cancelled also. Make-up classes will be scheduled and announced by the instructor in class.

Training & Testing

We offer Driver's Education for both Youth & Adults.

Michigan Road Skills Testing is also available through the Adult Education office, which also includes CDL testing.

NOTICE: Effective March 30, 2011

There are new restrictions regarding Graduated Driver's License Level 2 Drivers.

     - Between the hours of 10:00pm & 5:00am, GDL level 2 teens must drive with a parent, legal guardian, or licensed adult over the age of 21, unless driving to or from employment.
     - With the exception of immediate family members, GDL level 2 teens must not have more than one passenger under the age of 21 unless traveling to or from school or a school sanctioned event.
 

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU'RE READY TO TAKE YOUR ROAD TEST?

If you are under 18 years of age you must be able to answer "YES" to the following:

Segment 1 class is complete.
Segment 2 class is complete.
Have had your Level 1 license for at least 6 months.

 

 

What do I need to bring to confirm my road test date?

If the following is not received in the Community Education office by the dealine date you were given, your test will be cancelled.

Segment 2 card.
Level 1 license issued for at least 6 months.
Current PROOF OF INSURANCE for the vehicle you are driving.
Current REGISTRATION for the vehicle you are driving.
Payment of $60.00 (check, money order, or cash accepted)
Parent or Legal Guardian if under the age of 18.

 
 
 

Driver's Training for Adults:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Includes 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. (Time arranged by instructor.)
- Individual instruction and driving times.
- Must have State Driving Permit.

Michigan Road Skills Testing:

We offer State of Michigan Road Skills Testing for AUTO & CDL.

Commercial Driver's License Road Test
Class A........ $110.00
Class B........ $100.00
Class C........ $100.00
   
Michigan Automobile Road Skills Test
Fee..... $60.00


We DO NOT offer walk-in Testing! An appointment & registration is needed!

Driver's Education REFUND POLICY:

Refunds or transfers will ONLY be issued if requested to the Community Education office at least 3 business days prior to the class start date. Refunds requested after the 3 days, but before the 1st day of class will be $155.00. NO REFUNDS will be issued after the class has begun!

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RE-REGISTER AND RE-PAY FOR A NEW CLASS IF PROPER NOTICE IS NOT GIVEN, YOU DO NOT SHOW, OR DO NOT COMPLETE YOUR REGISTERED SESSION.
